Purchase Importing Order Clerk Looking for experience with working with overseas suppliers and purchase orders. SUMMARY Great opportunity to learn all aspects of purchasing and logistics. The Purchase Order Clerk will assist daily functions of the Purchasing Department, Including creating and processing of purchase orders, requesting price quotes from vendors, maintaining pricing updates, file organization, and communication with internal personnel with the RESPONSIBILITIES Data entry on purchase orders for import shipments, updating, and maintaining reports needed for tracking of all open purchase orders. . General knowledge and understanding of ports and world geography Job Type: Full-time Experience: • Purchasing Order Entry: 2 years (Preferred) Education: • Associate (Preferred)

 

Hours are flexible from 8-5 or 9-6

QUALIFICATIONS Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word Commercial invoice, packing lists, house bill of ladings, master bill of ladings and all international shipping and U.S. Customs documents Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment 1-2 years of industry experience preferred Knowledge of a computerized Warehouse Management System a plus Customer service oriented environment. Excellent written and communication skills, able to communicate with all levels, buyers, vendors and carriers.
